The site collects the following data:

• Usernames (Endless Challenge & Daily Challenge leaderboards) — entered voluntarily. Not shared with third parties. Can be deleted upon request at contact@hardwoodlinks.com.
• PIN codes (Daily Challenge) — stored encrypted (bcrypt). Never accessible in plain text.

Local storage (localStorage) — no data sent to third parties:

• Language & preferences: remembers your language choice.
• Saved username: pre-fills the username field to avoid retyping.
• Daily Challenge: player ID, an anonymous technical identifier (to link a score played without a username if you later claim it), in-progress game state (resume feature), date of last game played (anti-replay protection).
• Cookie preferences: your consent choice (renewed after 6 months).

Analytics cookies (optional) — Google Analytics 4: anonymised usage statistics. Only set after explicit consent. Manage preferences via the 🍪 Cookies link at the bottom of the home screen.

Donations are processed through Ko-fi (ko-fi.com/hardwoodlinks). Hardwood Links does not collect any banking information.

They help fund the development time put into the project, and could eventually enable new features — for example private leagues between friends, or an online multiplayer mode. Nothing is promised on a fixed timeline, but that's the direction these contributions would make possible.
